Multidimensional Biomaterials [MB]²
Welcome to the International Research Training Group [MB]² – Multidimensional Biomaterials (GRK 3194), funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft – DFG). [MB]² is a joint PhD training programme between the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and three leading Australian universities: The University of Melbourne, Monash University, and Swinburne University of Technology.
Our programme trains the next generation of researchers in cutting-edge biomaterials science, combining materials science, biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical science, and life sciences in 10 interdisciplinary tandem PhD projects. PhD students will be implemented in both research environments, both in Bayreuth and in Melbourne. In addition, PhD students can earn a joint doctoral degree from both countries upon spending 12 months at the partner institution.
